ADT Expands Commitment to Cycling with Amgen Tour of California Sponsorship

600-Mile International Road Race Begins this Weekend in San Francisco

ANAHEIM, CA, February 17, 2006 - ADT Security Services, Inc., a unit of Tyco Fire & Security, and AEG announced today that ADT is expanding its commitment to the sport of cycling as a founding partner of the Amgen Tour of California. The inaugural Tour de France-style race will make its way through 10 host cities from San Francisco to Redondo Beach, Calif. along a demanding 600-mile course. The eight-day race starts with a prologue this Sunday, Feb. 19 in San Francisco and concludes on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006.

Through its sponsorship, ADT will be the presenting sponsor of the first stage of this eight-day road race. Stage One will start on the Marin side of the San Francisco Bay and will cover roughly 84 miles from Sausalito to Santa Rosa. During the course of the race, sixteen elite international and domestic cycling teams will traverse the state from north to south with scheduled stops in the following host cities: San Francisco, Sausalito, Santa Rosa, Martinez, San Jose, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Thousand Oaks and Redondo Beach. ADT also will have a large presence at the Amgen Tour of California Lifestyle Festival presented by Health Net Booth that will welcome the thousands of spectators anticipated to witness the inaugural race.

ADT began its support of cycling in 2003 through its title sponsorship of the ADT Event Center, the preeminent indoor cycling track in the world, located at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The 100,000 square-foot, $15-million facility was developed by AEG, one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world. The ADT Event Center is situated on the 125-acre Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson. The 250-meter cycling track is North America's only indoor velodrome and is made of Siberian pine, the very best and fastest cycling track wood in the world.

"ADT is thrilled to support the inaugural Amgen Tour of California. We have a large commercial and residential customer base in California and as a company, ADT always strives to give back to the communities in which we serve," said Jay Stuck, vice president brand marketing for ADT Worldwide. "Our vision for the ADT Event Center was to help create a world-class cycling facility in the United States that would provide spectators with the opportunity to witness elite international competition, as well as provide a state-of-the-art training center for our current and future U.S. Olympians. Supporting the Amgen Tour of California is another great opportunity for ADT to provide spectators a rare chance to see elite American cycling pros compete on their home turf against a strong international field."

Sanctioned by the UCI (Union Cycliste International) and USA Cycling, the Amgen Tour of California is one of the most anticipated events on the international cycling calendar and is presented by AEG.
